Overall Impact
Launched on Amazon.com for both iOS and Android for the 10-foot experience (TV)
My Contributions
Sole designer in designing and creating Amazon’s first companion experience for the TV from 0-1.
Have undergone 20+ various iterations before narrowing down the designs.
Ran many user test sessions + bug bashes to help in optimization and building a clear path to a strong user experience.
Still ongoing with new ways to better build partnerships with Prime Video and other big brands.
TL;DR Context
Amazon has been looking to grow the creator space through the use of live shopping content. With additional partnerships that happened internally, we’re proud to announce that Amazon’s expansion in the shoppable video space will now integrate with Prime Video and Freevee to further bring customers to shop at the tip of the fingers, and remote.

The Problem
Shopping is hard on the TV as is. There’s a lot of limitation when having to prioritize how we handle creators vs. product placements. How can we make that better?
Traditional shopping is commonly handled through either our mobile or desktop experiences.
Shopping on your television on the other hand, is highly uncommon.
What are the challenges?
Challenge 1
Lack of context
Very hard to understand how to shop for items from TV
Challenge 2
Disconnect from creators
Creators are unable to maintain a connection to watchers
Challenge 3
Maintaining view duration
Lack of access to items create a high drop rate
Justin
I would love to watch on a bigger screen when shopping for potential items
Casey
I have a hard time discovering and purchasing things that interest me on the big screen
Roseanne
I would love to watch on a bigger screen when shopping for potential items
Darren
Got it! Thank you for the feedback!
